At LINN Energy, we are connected to our communities. We are dedicated to working in harmony with our neighbors and place a high priority on improving the lives of people in the communities where our employees live and work. Our charitable giving is focused on four key areas: health, education, community services and the arts. LINN employees tirelessly dedicate themselves to worthy causes through generous support and countless volunteer hours.
Community Services
LINN employees are passionate about serving our communities. Through a combination of employee donations and a dollar-for-dollar company match, we raised almost $200,000 for United Way in 2011.
LINN is a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity. In Houston, Oklahoma City and many of our operating areas, our employees grab their hammers and nail guns to partner with Habitat to build dreams come true for families – homes to call their own.

Health
LINN Oklahoma City employees raised more than $35,000 for the American Heart Association Oklahoma City Heart Walk. In Houston, LINN sponsors and hosts an annual event to help American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign fund research and raise awareness of the number one killer of women – heart disease.
LINN Chief Financial Officer Kolja Rockov created the Texas Children's Cancer Center Casino Night event to raise funds to help children fight cancer. In its fourth year, this event raised more than $260,000 for the Cancer Center – a $70,000 increase in proceeds from the prior year. Since the inaugural event in 2009, Casino Night has raised more than $550,000.
LINN’s Oklahoma City office hosts an annual charitable fundraising event called LINN-O-Ween – a day of fun events, including a costume contest, raffle, silent auction, cook-off and bake sale. This year, Oklahoma City employees raised more than $30,000 for The Children’s Center in Oklahoma City. The Center is a non-profit pediatric hospital serving children with complex medical and physical disabilities.

LINN Energy is a sponsor of Bon Vivant, an event where amazing Houston chefs show their creativity through one-of-a-kind menus composed of their finest culinary creations. In its four years, Bon Vivant raised $625,000 to benefit the Youth Development Center’s afterschool literacy program.
